These classes are for 12 and up.

Our adults really appreciate the difference between martial arts training compared to a standard exercise program. Our karate classes are like an exercise program with a bonus! You learn to defend yourself while getting in shape.

Here at sidekicks our classes are well known for their stress relieving benefits as well as the empowerment it gives our students to take on and accomplish any goals with confidence.

What we teach could save your life. At Sidekicks martial arts everything we teach is reality based. Our instructors work very hard to insure that most any situation you might encounter is covered in the classoom with very safe learning conditions, so you will be prepared.

Jiu-jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Philosophy:

BJJ is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground defense with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-submissions and choke holds to force an opponent to submit. The art was based on early 20th century Kodokan Judo, which was itself then a recently developed system founded in 1882,based on multiple schools of Japanese Jiu-jutsu.

It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker individual using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant.

BJJ can be learned for self defense, physical fitness, as well as tournament competition.
